Terms and conditions

I have an idea
Who is eligible?
All entrants must be Affinity Sutton
residents. Employees of Affinity Sutton or any of its subsidiary
companies, their families, agents or anyone else connected with
this promotion are not eligible to enter. No third party entries or
entries submitted by agents will be accepted.
Entering the competition
Entry completion is based on the following
information being provided: name, postcode, telephone number, email
(if entering online) and an idea for improving services.
Reporting housing issues
This competition should not be used to report
any housing issues or our services. If the entrant wishes to report
such issues, they must contact us on 0300 100 0303 or email their
issue to customerservice@affinitysutton.com. Read
our complaints procedure.
If we do receive any entries which are
considered to be housing issues, complaints or are not fitting with
the format and requirements of the competition, we will forward
these on to the relevant team/member of staff for them to deal with
and we will not enter them into the competition.
Ideas
We will set themes for ideas on a quarterly
basis. These themes will just act as a guide to help entrants come
up with ideas. If an entrants’ idea does not fit within the theme
at that time, it will still be considered valid.
Each quarter, a shortlist of ideas will be
presented to the panel for I have an Idea who will scope to assess
whether it is feasible to deliver. Winning ideas will be those
which:
- We consider will contribute to improving our services to
residents.
- Can be implemented (in terms of cost, resource and regulatory
requirements).
- Are not already in use by Affinity Sutton.
- Reflect our vision and values.
- Will be of benefit to a significant number of residents.
Shortlisted entrants will be contacted by
telephone or email within 30 days of submitting their entry and
told when their idea will be presented to the panel. The winning
entrant/s will be notified no later than 30 days after the panel
has identified them as a winner.
The winners
Once the panel has decided on the
winning idea/s we will make sure that we can take the idea forward.
A representative from the relevant team will then contact winning
entrants to help implement their ideas. We will aim to implement
the winning idea within 12 months of the residents being identified
as a winner.
If for any reason we are not able to
deliver the winning idea we will notify the resident as soon as
possible.
The winners will need to be willing to
participate in non-paid publicity accompanying or resulting from
their winning idea.
Prizes
Winning entrants will be given the option of
receiving either £50 cash for personal use, or £100 to go towards
improving their community.
The £100 community cash prize can be spent on
– improving the appearance of their estate, buying new furnishings
or facilities for community centres, helping to start up a
community group or project or making their estate more eco
friendly. Our Community Investment Team will work closely with the
winning entrant and their local community to help them implement
it.
Further information
By entering into the competition, the entrant
accepts that their idea may be used in future to improve Affinity
Sutton’s services.
This is an ongoing competition. We have the
right to terminate the competition at any point. If we do so, we
will notify any residents whose ideas may be affected (i.e. if
they’ve been previously identified as a winner/in the shortlist and
their idea won’t be delivered).
By entering the competition, entrants agree to
be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in
promotional material.
Affinity Sutton’s decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
