2011 Winners: Young champions, Plymouth, Devon
These five young people came together
to really make a difference in their community. They organised an
exhibition at Plymouth University displaying their own photographs
of areas within their estate they felt needed
improvement.
The group engaged with local influential
groups including local businesses, politicians and the police who
were impressed with their display and desire to make a
difference.
Their drive and enthusiasm brought everyone
together to launch the ‘BIG CLEAN UP DAY’ at the St Budeaux estate
and a passion to ensure the good work continues.
